...wAckinG DaYs - sTrike tWo...

"Cyclone Nisha is gonna hit Chennai within a day or two" said Weather Forcasting department.Well ..taking into account their ^accuracy^ in predicting things like this,..i went about my usual routine of caring less.Who names a cyclone,... NISHA anyways.??..I took refuge in my bed that night caring less for the cyclone with that lame ass name.


Now that when i think of it ,...i should have cared more...a lil more.



The very next day,..as usual i woke up to Sweet Child O Mine...cursed Axel for that high frequency voice...took my tooth brush and went out to the balcony. and wat i saw around my 3 story apartment building made me swallow the entire chunk of toothpaste on my brush.Good ol' mother earth was completely covered with water....not just any water...the water from wat chennaites call COOVAM.I forgot to mention that my apartment building was adjacent to the beautifull coovam river famous for its nauseating smell and its ^holy^ water.Just one drop of that holy water on you and you would wish that you vaporized into thin air along with your nose.


Cyclone Nisha turned out to be a real pain in the arse.I even took couple of snaps while she was going full throttle.



Aint she a feisty babe... :D.??.Thanks to her....We four roomies had to live on R3 's infamous idlys.That too with a strict One Guy - One Idly policy.The only day when i cherished that single ugly looking half baked idly for half n hour.



The highway was about 2 blocks away and the road connecting our apartment to the highway ...was...no where to be seen(in pic1).We all were reluctant to get into that dirty ^holy^ water but we had to.I got the dirtiest jean from my bag.Packed my laptop ,PSP(Cant leave/live without em) and got out.With the roomies shouting from the balcony "YOU WONT MAKE IT"..,..."GET BACK " ..."I SAW A DOG CRAPPING THERE MAN!!",...i had no other choice.





Yes!!...Yes!!...i did dip my feet in that water while taking these snaps.Swallowed the pain,...tolerated the smell,...and tried to forget bout the fact that the stray dogs living in the building didnt have anyother place to prove their bowel movement.


One full hamam soap to get the coovam water smell out of my legs.My own way of exorcism.Ironically this time the ^holy^ water was on the recieving side.


"Cyclone Nisha is gone....Now whats next ??...USHA??" - joked my colleague and eventhough it was good one,...i didnt laugh.
